Recycling

Recycling can be carried out in a sustainable way, minimising environmental impact by reclaiming materials and parts, which help reduce costs to customers and guarantee compliance with legislation. RDC leads the market in this important area, all of our processes are carefully tracked and audited, recycling output is fully reported supporting customers sustainability targets.

RDC has refurbished and improved its recycling centre within its UK operation. Opened in October 2008 the recycling centre has increased capacity enabling higher throughput and continued development of improved recycling processes.

Reclaim more than 30 separate component types for reuse (hard drives, RAM, mother boards, power supply units, processor chips, cords, leads, connectors).
Dismantle and sorts IT waste into over 30 separate streams, enabling the recycling of material that would otherwise be contaminated and un-recyclable.
Exceeds the proposed EU Recast WEEE Directive targets to reuse at least 5% of WEEE parts.
